College Savvy runs at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00. If your daughter is new to Tech Savvy, you must sign up for the same College Savvy session that she registered for.

The following sessions are all available during two different time slots. Check availability when you are registering. Register early for the best chance to attend your preferred workshop!

XELLO for Career Exploration: Academic & Career Planning (9:00 and 10:00 am)
We will focus on how students can utilize XELLO as a tool throughout their Academic and Career Planning (ACP) process. XELLO is an engaging, online program that helps students define their goals and transform them into actionable plans for success. The program puts students at the center of their college and career planning experience.

Promoting Mental Health During COVID 19 (9:00 and 10:00 am)
In this presentation, audience members will learn: How to identify the warning signs of stress and anxiety, different coping strategies to help combat stressors that COVID-19 has placed on us and community resources for support.

Math Myths and How to Erase Them! (11:00 am)

Math Myths are all around us: “There are Math People and Non Math People”, “There is only one way to solve a math problem” and “speed is important in doing math”, just to list a few. These myths can worsen Math Anxiety in our kids. I will share information on what Math Anxiety really is, how you can identify it in your kids, and strategies you can use to help support them (and you) as they journey through their mathematical education. Let’s erase these math myths!

Robotics (12:40)

Check out a session that was offered to the girls in the morning! Discover the world of VEXIQ and WonderWorkshop (WW) Robotics.  You will have a chance to code a robot, drive robots and practice the Engineering Design Process.

10 Tips for College Success (12:40 and 1:35)
Planning ahead for college reduces stress! This presentation will provide Top Ten Tips for helping your daughter prepare for college. We will chat about class selection, extracurricular involvement, summer camps, college visits, financial aid, and more. Bring your questions about the college search and application process.
